What is the Main Aim of Twitter Updates over Google?

Google always thinks the most unique & creative ideas and whenever it launched any new products, most of them are successful. While discussing about Gmail, Google Wave, Google Knol, Orkut or any of the Google Products... we don't find big faults to raise voice against it..

While searching over Google, you might have come across some "Quick scrolling updates over its search results or real time updates" from Twitter. Actually this implementation is not yet successful launched but Google had a reason for it.. According to the Officially blog post 'RT @google: Tweets and updates and search, oh my!' - "we have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in our search results. We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months. That way, the next time you search for something that can be aided by a real-time observation, say, snow conditions at your favorite ski resort, you'll find tweets from other users who are there and sharing the latest and greatest information."

Their integration of Real time tweets over its search result is really noble but recently i discovered that some "keywords" which contained this real time updates is now removed. The Reason of the removal of these real time updates might be the spam tweet updates related to these keywords are getting big impressions...
